Photos do this no justice at all…. really… This helmet still needs to be detailed out and of course, UNMASKED! so pay no attention to the crud at the bottom of the helmet. thats just masking tape. Helmet was done with Honda Graphite pearl mixed with 147 silver 1:1 as a base, then the graphics sprayed out with nothing more than solid black and white, then it was glazed with a heavy concentration of PPG Deltron silver pearl. All freehanded, save for a shield for the rivet heads.

In this video you will see me airbrushing a Japanese inscription on a Harley tank. The bike has twin tanks, this is the right side and has a Samurai, some skulls and an inscription saying “Way of the Warrior” on it. The image of the Samurai was obtained from a figurine brought to my studio by the bike owner. We tried some positionings for the warrior and took reference photos during these trials, then decided how the Samurai would be placed on the tank. You will see our self-obtained reference photo at the background. This video shows some parts of the application of the first layer which was black from Glasurit semi-transparent 55 series. My airbrush is my long served and well beloved single action Sata Graph/Z/Universal with 0,2mm nozzle. The base was a silver effect applied with a rattle can over the primed surface.
